What began as a two-chair tailor's room is now a house for men and women: our own suits and linen, a few brands we love, and a fitting room that still smells of pressed wool.

Two chairs and a cutting table
Raden Wiradja, a tailor trained in Batavia, rents a narrow room on Braga and makes his first white drill suit for a tea planter from Pangalengan.
Ready to wear
The first shirts sold off the rail, in poplin cut looser for Bandung afternoons. The collar pattern is the one we still use.
A floor for women
His daughter Sari opens the upper floor with trousers, coats and kebaya-cut blouses, and runs the store for the next thirty years.
The shop is restored
The original tiles and teak counters come back. So does the brass bell over the door.
Linen for the tropics
Our own line of linen shirts and suits, woven light enough for the rainy season and sturdy enough for the dry one.
Made to Measure, again
A fitting studio returns to the room where it began, with patterns drafted by hand and kept on file for every client.
